Contact the Editorial Team
Use this page for corrections, topic requests, and questions about anything we have published. We are an editorial journal, not a store, so we cannot help with orders, deliveries, or returns. Messages reach a person and are answered in the order they arrive, usually within a few business days.
Where to reach us
Three real ways to reach the editorial desk
Write through the form, call during office hours, or send a letter to the office. Email is read first and answered fastest; the phone line is kept for editorial questions about nars cosmetics information we have already published.
Email the editors
The fastest route for corrections, source links, and topic requests. Attach nothing large; a link is easier for us to verify.
Call the office
Editorial questions only, during business hours, Eastern Time. We have no access to order status or product availability.

What to write to us about
Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a guide cites a shade count that has changed, or describes a finish in a way that no longer matches the product, tell us and we will check it. Topic requests are welcome too. Several of our comparison pages started as a single reader question about why two similar nars beauty products behave so differently.
A page name plus the exact sentence or detail that is wrong, and what it should say if you know.
Two products and the decision you are trying to make between them. A specific question is one we can act on.
Anything unclear in a published guide — a term we did not explain, a step that reads two ways, a claim that needs a source.
If your message is about one of the nars makeup guides, name the page in the first line. It saves a round trip and puts you in front of the right editor.
Please note
What we cannot help with
We do not process purchases, track shipments, or handle returns. If your question is about an order, contact the retailer you bought from. We also cannot give personalized shade matches over email, because a match depends on seeing your skin in daylight and no written description replaces that.
Read the complexion shade guideA precise message gets acted on sooner than a general one.
That is the whole rule behind how we triage reader mail. Tell us the page, the sentence, and the source — and we can check it the same week.
How to send a correction
We check every correction against the published product description before editing, so a precise message gets acted on sooner than a general one. Here is the shape of a message we can verify quickly.
Send a correction-
1
Name the page and the sentence
Quote the line as it reads now. A quoted sentence is easier to find than a description of where it sits in the guide.
-
2
Say what it should read instead
If you already know the corrected wording, write it out. If you are unsure, tell us what looks off and we will check the current product description ourselves.
-
3
Add a link to the source
A link to the source helps us verify faster. A retailer page, a brand product description, or a dated announcement all work.
-
4
Expect a reply in the queue
We answer reader mail in the order it arrives. Corrections that need verification can take longer than a simple wording fix, and we will tell you if we cannot confirm the change.
Topic requests
Ask for a comparison we have not written yet
If you want a comparison we have not written yet, describe the two products and the decision you are trying to make. "Which of these two concealers for under-eye use" is a request we can act on. "More makeup content" is not. The more specific the question, the more likely it becomes a page.
Good requests usually name the finish you are after, where you plan to wear it, and what you have already tried. Those three details tell us whether the answer belongs in an existing guide or needs its own page.
Request a topicWrite to the editorial team
Tell us which page the message is about, then the correction or question itself. A link to the source helps us verify faster. We use the details you submit only to reply to your message and to follow up on a correction if needed.

Response times
We answer reader mail in the order it arrives. Most messages get a reply within a few business days, though corrections that need verification can take longer. If you do not hear back within a week, send the message again; occasionally things land in the wrong folder.

Reader questions, answered plainly
The three things readers ask most often before they write in. If your question is not here, the form above reaches a person.
Can you tell me which shade to buy?
No. A shade match depends on seeing your skin in daylight, so we cannot give a reliable match by email. Our shade guide explains how to test one yourself.
Do you sell NARS products?
No. This is an editorial journal. We do not sell anything and cannot help with orders, shipping, or returns. What we do publish is nars cosmetics information — shade guides, finish comparisons, and routine notes for nars beauty products you buy elsewhere.
How long does a reply take?
Most messages get a reply within a few business days. Corrections that need verification can take longer. If you do not hear back within a week, send the message again.
Can I ask about a product that is not on the site yet?
Yes, and those messages are how several of our pages began. Describe the two products and the decision you are making, and we will tell you whether we can research it and when a guide might appear.
Still deciding where to start?
The guides are the quickest way to see how we work. Each one walks through a shade range, a finish difference, or a routine step, with the reasoning written out rather than summarized. If a guide leaves a question open, that is exactly the kind of message this page is for.
